For Preparing Mix Items

  • Stir fresh parsley into your salad dressings or add chopped to green or potato salads for a lively crunch.

  • Add zippy flavor to sour cream or cream cheese. Chopped cilantro can be stirred in with sour cream and used to top chili, soups, and stews, or mixed with cream cheese to give your bagels an extra boost of flavor.

  • Throw a little bit of chopped cilantro into your next stir-fry to give it a kick of flavor. Add toward the end of cooking to retain the fresh flavor.

  • Use kale to replace romaine in a Caesar salad. The sturdy leaves hold up well to thick dressing.
